THIRTY LEADING MONEY-WINNING HORSES OF 1913 rr It appears more than probable that when the racing statistics of this year are made up the two fine two-year-olds. Old Rosebud and Pennant, will still retain their present eminence as first and second respectively in money won in 1013. They are in retirement until next spring and so no additions are to be made to their present totals. But so also are the horses which might have displaced them if kept in training and racing. In view of the generous increase of racing returns incident to the resumption of the sport in New York, it might have been reasonably expected that at least some one horse would win 0,000 or more this year, but Old Rosebuds 8,057 Is to be the high-money mark. The Increase in values shows in the way of general distribution instead of in concentration about one or two fortunate horses, there now being already thirteen that have woii 0,000 or more, as compared with a total of six in 1012.
