FLASK, after being outrun for the first three-eighths, came to the outside when entering the homestretch and, linishing fast, wore the tiring leaders down and got up to win in the final stride. J.. J. L1LL1S was much used in racing LAMBS TAIL into defeat and tired in the last sixteenth, but held on resolutely. BARR went to the front with a rush soon after the start and, after racing VOTES into subjection in the first half, drew away in the last sixteenth and won in a canter. VOTES ran lapped on the winner to the stretch turn, but tired in the stretch drive. JOHN MARRS raced forwardly and hung on gamely under punishment. TROY WEIGHT and WHISPER BELLE ran moderately well. ARRAN began slowly, but saved ground when turning into the homestretch, then swerved to tlie Inside in the heavy going In the last eighth. SYLVESTRIS raced steadily and finished fast and gaining. ALTAMAHA closed a big gap from a slow beginning. CARLTON G. finished with a belated rush. THERESA GILL showed speed and ran a good half, but tired and may have been short. BEACH SAND was off slowlv and dropped back in the first onarter, but was closing up at the end SERAICENCE was favored by the going and raced well to the l.omestretch, then tired anil quit badly. The latter closed a gap and came fast in the stretch, but was tiring at the finHli GERRAR1 ran well and outgamed the tiring KAYDEROSEROS for third place. The latter showed speed and set the pace to the stretch turn. Overweights Gerrard. 1 pound.
