r THIRTY LEADING MONEY-WINNING OWNERS OF 1913 i i II. 1. Whitney Is now securely the leading American winning owner of 1013, but his stable earnings are still ,210 short of the total that gave John W. Schorr the leadership last year. Ilis stable has been well reinforced recently with good horses brought back from England and should figure Importantly in eastern racing next year. It. T. Wilson is a good second to Mr. Whitney, but not likely to bridge over the interval that separates the pair. Due to the prowess of the remarkable veteran, Donald Macdonald, J. L. Holland has enjoyed a successful turf year and is not far behind Mr. Wilson, in stable returns. Among western owners A. Turney has fared Weill and in Horron may have possessed about the best three-year-old of 1013. J. W. Schorr falls far behind his record of last year, but, everything considered, has not done liadlv. The possession of such a star as Old Rosebud gave H. C. Applegate a standing in the list that he-was far from attaining last year.
