MARY EMILY closed a gap in the first three-quarters and made a fast finish, but could not mite get up. CHANTICLOR set a fast early pace and outstayed BUSS in a drive. OCEAN QUEEN was shut off on the far turn and again in the stretch, where her rider made another attempt to bring her through next to the rail. BUSS raced well. DOROTHY DEAN ran a splendid race and only gave way near the end. JUST RED raced close up nearly all the way. FOUNDATION was in close quarters on the backstretch.
