WARBLER ran well up all the way and wouaI have won but for losing ground by a wide stretcii turn. KIVA ran well and also would have been much closer up at the end but for being forced to go wide. Y.OUXG EMBLEM began slowly and was lucky in escaping interference and, moving up with a rush after rounding into the stretch, drew away fast in the last sixteenth. BEHEST, from a good beginning, showed the most speed to the stretch, but tired slightly near the end. POLLY II. was going fastest at the end and lost considerable ground by going wide on the stretch turn. IIUDAS BROTHER ran well to the stretch and tired badly in the last eighth. CAMEL was hard ridden all the way and held on well in the stretch drive. DR. DOUGHERTY was away slowly and closed a good .gap in the last quarter. AAILHITE was saved behind the leaders until turning into the stretch, where he was called on aud. responding with a rush, took a long lead and won in a canter. CARLTON G. began slowly and was out- paced early, but closed a gap in the stretch and, having a clear course, finished fast. JOHN 1. NIXOX also escaped interference in the stretch and finished fast. SHERAVOOD ran a good half and tired in the last eighth. SAMUEL R. MEYER was badly outpaced early, but finished with a rush. SIR JOHN JOHXSON set a fast pace, hut tired under his weight and suffered from interference when BRIGS BROTHER fell lame, but was well beaten at the time. BRIGS BROTHER ran well and could not have been worse than second but for falling lame when a sixteenth from the finish. Scratched 12C43Lady Lightning, 107. Overweights John P. Nixon. 2 pounds. TODDLING set the early pace and tired badly after going three-quarters. CHESTER KRUM ran fairly well. FEATHER DUSTER was outpaced all the way.
