NOTES OF THE TURF. Jockey A. Neylou will rejoin the Schorr stable nest spring. Nat Ray, who not long ago forsook the thoroughbreds for the trotters, had an unsuccessful year after several successful ones. Etheldas indifferent showing at Juarez probably Is due to having been started there before fully recovering from a sickness with which she suffered when she arrived at the Mexican course. They go deep in their racing speculations in Australia. A Melbourne man backed the successful combination for the Caulfield and Melbourne Cups at long odds to win 01,500. After the first half of the double went through he hedged a little, but cleared about 80,000 when Posinatus landed the Melbourne Cup. D. R. Puddin McDaniel says he Is going to take out a license and return to racing in 1014. Some seasons back .McDaniel rode with success. Though he does not look the part now. he says that he will be able to do 108 pounds. McDaniel has been galloping horses for George Odom, who has a big string of yearlings at Sheepshead Bay and it . Is Intimated that when a license is taken out he will attach himself to the Odom stable.
