FLYING YANKEE was forced to go wide when QUEETTturned wide into the stretcli and made a game finish. CLEM BEACHEY set the pace, but tired fast in the last eighth after showing much speed. PRINCE CHAP began fast and, setting a good pace under a hustling ride, moved away from the others in the stretch and won casing up. SHERLOCK HOLMES suffered from early interference and made a game effort in the stretch, but could not get up. BATAVA ran in closest early pursuit and held on well throughout. BILLIE BAKER moved up rapidly after going a half and tired a trifle In the stretch, but rallied and came again at the end. SCHALLER set the pace to the last eighth, but tired in the last sixteenth. OUTLAN ran poorly and was outpaced all the way. FIEL showed speed, hut tired after going three-quarters. ELLA GRANE quit. PRINCE HERMIS was forced back at the start and had to be taken wide into the stretch, then finished going fastest of all. ELLA BRYSON tired after going a good half. SAMUEL R.
