The latter followed the winner in close up pursuit, but lost ground bv coming wide in the stretch and came again in the last eighth. FLORAL CROWN had an advantage at the start and held on fairly well through the entire race. QUESTION MARK was in a had way when going to the post and ran in keeping with his condition. BELLE TERRE closed a big gap from a slow beginning and finished on the inside. LADY INNOCENCE ran well up throughout the entire race. EL MAIIDI ran poorly. DALLY WATERS only ran .fairly well and should improve over this showing. MARTY LOU was badly beaten all the way. BULGAR tired after setting the pace. EARL OF SAVOY set a good pace for the first three-quarters and held on -well in the closing drive. MERRY LAD suffered from interference, but ran well and was in the worst going most of the way. SERVICENCE showed speed, but tired in the htrr-tch. MYCENAE quit after going three-quarters. COLONEL COOK and JABOT ran bad races and much below their true form.
