.j. MANY CONTRIBUTORS TO W. G.YANKES TOTAL FOR 1913 4. Although bis former celebrity. Round the World, was unable to win a race in I91i!, W. G. Yanke enjoyed a prosperous turf year. The swift sprinter. Wilhite, was his best money winner and raced so well as to suggest that Radford might win fame as a sire if given access to mares of good lineage. In Old Ron and Karfhage he had a couple of two-year-olds that won many races for him and at Charleston the former is now considered as likely to win the Palmetto Derby as any horse engaged in it. He is a sturdy young-stir that begins slowly and finishes fast and in the manner of a stayer. Swish, Rrave, Oakland and Flying l-eol all placed more than ,000 to the credit of their stable and any horse that does that will always mere than pay its way, unless heavily engaged in stake races, with a resultant forfeit list to be charged ti its account. The record of the stable for the year was: Horse. Col. and Sex. A. Pedigree. 1st. 2d. 3d. Won. Wilhite br. g. 4 Ry ilaiiford Determination S 4 2 $ 3.87:.
