THIRTY LEADING HORSES OF 1913 SIX YEARS OLD AND OVER Fiinbrnecd in the list of thirty leading chief money-winning horses six years old or over last year were two of quite remarkable achievements, one was Broomsticks great son, Whisk Broom II., which returned heme from a high-class career in Knglish racing to win further renown by capturing in succession the Mct-roiKilitan. Brooklyn and Suburban handicaps, something no other horse had been able to do. and, besides iis, covered a mile and a quarter in 2:00. also something no other horse, domestic or foreign, has ever iieeu able to do. Another record breaker was the seven years old Donald Mncdonald. which made the unprecedented record for a horse of Iiis age of winning twenty-two races and finished second in the list of inning horses of 101.! in money won. In tact the veterans of racing distinguished themselves at the ex-lense of the younger horses to quite an unusual degree and, besides the two stars named, such as Blackford. Lady Panchita. Sherwood. .Milton 1!., O. M. .Miller and High Private raced with distinction and won well for their owners. The thirty best winners six yeais old and over were the following: Horse. Age.
