NOTES OF THE TURF. Jockey Gross will not go to California at present, hut will remain at Juarez until the end of the season. Jockey F. Teahan is expected at Charleston shortly from his home in Windsor, Out., where lie lias heen recovering from llie effects of an injury received in a fall. Delegate Hall, of P.altlinore, has introduced his anti-lKtting hill, patterned after the Hughes legislation in Now York state, in the Maryand legislature and it has lieeu referred to the appropriate committee. The other hills designed to bring racing under state control are also in committee.
