] : , ; •t" — V I VETERANS OF THE TRACK THAT ADDED TO THEIR WINNINGS IN 1913 f • + . One of the effects of llio depression from which the American turf is just now emerging is a disposi lion on the part of owners to race their thoroughbreds to a greater age than in the flush days of the .s[ior1 . The diminishing of the supply of thoroughbreds in this country as a result of tbe widespread curtailment ot breeding operations is undoubtedly one of the impelling reasons. The average age of the thoroughbred . thai raced in liilU will considerably exceed the average for forme years. In accordance with its custom. Daily Racing form today presents to ils readers a list of the veterans of the track — seven years old aud over -that materially added to their winnings during 1913. The list follows: Horses. Age.
