1 OAK RIDGE STABLE REACHES LEXINGTON. Trainer Carter Arrives with Fifteen of Thomas Fortune Ryans Hoises — Blue Grass Gossip. Lexington. Ky.. April lo. — The racing stable of Thomas Fortune Ryan, numbering fifteen head. In charge of traiuer William M. Carter, and accompanied by jockey l.eroy Deronde, whose contract w.is purchased from H. G. Bedwell at Charleston for .i uO, arrived at the Kentucky Association course from Beaming this morning and went into quarter* in ihe new nutty -Stall barn that was com pleted yesterday. The horses all shipped well and Came oil tin- cars iii good condition. The star of tin- string is the nnigniticent looking three-year-old HIT. Stake and Cap. a candidate for the Ashland Oaks and the Kentucky Derby. K. K. Bradleys siring of eighteen horses, in charge of trainer Cliff Hamilton, were transferred from Idle Hour Farm to the Kentucky Associallon tra.-k this morning. Among those in the stable are Bradleys choice and Black Toney, Derby candidates: Bracktown Belle, a candidate for the Ash land Oaks; Pell Horse. Henanet. Ban. Boots and Sad. lb and the 1 wo year -olds Bell Buoy. Helle Of All. Brigs Sister, Between 1s. Briney Peep, Brick and Mortar. B. First and Bean Spiller. H. F. Carman will leave Charleston Saturday for Kentucky with his big string of horses. He will stop off here with twelve. Including Surprising, a candidate for the Blue Grass Stakes and the Ken techy Derby, and will semi the others to Louisville. Jockey Charley Peak, u is understood, will be here to ride |h" Carman SOratS. The horses of 11. K. Knapp and F. H. Hitchcock, in charge ot trainer W. II. Byrne will aecompaarj these horses, Jack Weaver came from Latent* today with Gowetl, winner of last years Latonia Derby ; Ymir. John G. Weaver and Go Easy, a two-year-old chestnut filly by Box— Two Heart. John J. Weaver came oil the car with a slight fever, but the others shipped all right. Howard Oots also came over from Latonia with three Of the horses saved out of the recent tire and Louis Tuubet arrived with Cliartier. The Johnson N. Camden horses were in the limelight in the gallops over a slow, drying out. track this morning. Luke and One Step, the pair which trainer J. o. Keene will likely saddle for the Breeders Futurity, worked a half mile in r 0. handily. About four out of every live men one meets here believes this rich stake will be taken for the third time in succession by a youngster carrying the Cain-iien colors. Casaariaa, candidate tor the Ashland ■;ks and Kentucky Derby, worked a mile in 1:40. pulling up. T. . Starter Harry Morrissey today said that the two year-olds he has had at the harrier here are the lust behaved lot of youngsters he has observed in a long while.
