GOOD JUMPER RETURNS FROM ENGLAND. New York. Mav 1.— Two noted steeplechasers. Meadowsweet and Savannah, owned by 1. Ambrose Clark, arrived from England yesterday on the At lantic Transport liner Minneapolis. The will be bandied at Relmont Park by Warren Freeman and pointed for cross-country races lo be run here this spring. Meadowsweet, a tive-year-old brown daughter i»r Yaakee and Campo, by Hastings, won roar steejde base races in Cleat Rritain early Ibis year and isbed second in two others of her seven starts. Mr. Clarks great mare won her initial and on; start in this countrv as a three year-old when she captured the Brook Champion Steeplechase Trophj at Piping Rock in October. 1!12. Savannah is a six-year-old sister to Meadow -sweet . She is of an excellent type and a bold, safe fencer. As a two-vear-old Savannah, carrying the green silki of Thomas Hitchcock, won a five and a half furlongs dash at Saratoga. Mr. Clark, who accompanied Ik Frederick von StSde, arrived in New York t.-om Europe recently, has signed Michael Tighc. .1 do new to these parts.
