ENFORCEMENT A LOCAL FUNCTION. Point Grey. B. C. October 10. A letter was s read at tlie meeting .of Ward One Ratepayers Association from H. 1I :Stevcns. M. P., in reply to o a resolution of the association protesting against ;t the continuation of Minoru Park race meeting beyond - the time specitled in the Miller act. His s replv read in part: "The question of administering the law regarding I- racing comes under the jurisdiction of the e Provincial Government. The Miller act as it now stands is successful In restricting racing In all other r parts of Canada, and tlie Minister of Justice claims s it Is equally applicable to British Columbia as in n all other parts of the Dominion." Tlie letter was ordered to be" filed pending the e decision of the Vancouver Assize Court lu the proceeding. -
