CHITRA. away forwardly and showing the most speed, set a fast pace r.nd, saving much ground on all the turns, held on gamely in the final drive and outstayed INEZ. The latter was well up in closest pursuit for the entire way and ran a good race. MARTHA LEE began slowly and had to run wide most of the way and swerved in the last sixteenth. FLOSSIE CROCKET ran well to the stretch and tired in the last eighth. WATER WITCH closed an immense gap from a slow beginning. ZIN DEL ran out on the stretch turn.
