SHERWOOD gained steadily from a slow beginning and finished fast and gamely. ELLA BRYSON came fast at the end and outstayed WATER WELLES. The latter ran iu closest pursuit io the stretch, hut tired. EMERALD GEM ran a good race. The winner, enteral for ,200, was bid up to .SO0 ami sold to J. W. Hedrick.
