CHESTERTON was away well iu the lead and, saving much ground 011 the turn, stood the llual drive more gamely than usual and just got up iu time to win. BAMBOO made a hard effort all the way and only tired slightly at the end. LITTLE STRING ran well and probably would have won with.n stronger rider. MALABAR was prominent most of the way and finished well. JESTER had a rough race. FOR FAIR had no mishaps. The winner was entered for 000; no bid. Scratched 1815! Royal II., 100; 17G45 Ken, 108. MISS KRUTER raced in closest pursuit from the start and. liiiishing fast, outstayed JESSIE LOUIS1-: in the stretch drive. The latter ran a good race and saved much ground 011 all the turns. BERMUDIAN was iu a jam in the early running, but came fast in the stretch. JUSTICE GOEBEL closed a big gap iu the last quarter. THOUGHTRlOADER ran well. The winner was entered for 500: no bid. The latter was away poorly and forced to cose a big gap. but tinished fast and gamely. WHITE CROWN began fast and followed JOE D. e!osely, then tired and swerved out :adlv in the stretch and just lasted long enough to save third place. JOE D. set a good early pace, but tired after going three-quarters. NIGRA raced well up most of the way. The winner, entered for 400, was bid up to 005 and bought in. Scratched 1S2C.4 B. First. 107.
