HESTER PRYNNE moved up rapidly while rounding the turn into the homestretch and, finishing fast and gamely, was drawing clear at the end. SPRING BOARD ran in Improved form and finished resolutely after coming wide when entering the homestretch. TEN POINT raced forwardly and game.v, but was tiring in the final strides. AMBROSE showed the most early speed and set the pace nearly throughout, but tired when called on for a final effort. BILLIE BAKER made a threatening effort while rounding the turn into the homestretch, but tired badly near the end. COLONEL HOLLOAAAY rau a good mile aud a quarter. TAY PAY tired early. DELANEY was catching the leaders with everv stride at the end, after beginning slowly and closing a big gap in a belated stretch rush. UNCLE JIMMIE set a fast pace to the last eighth and tired. HUSKY LAD ran well. The winner was entered for 00: no bid.
