J li in r l. c j - , THIRTY LEADING MONEY -WINNING OWNERS OF 1914 : 4. It is now quite well assured that for the second time in his career iu racing the Tennessee turfman, John A Schorr, is to figure as the leading American winning owner. He is something more than 5,000 advance of his closest competitor and that is a gap too wide to be bridged over in such racing of 1914 as remains to be disposed of. Second to him is James Butler, ins total of 0,123 formiug a remarkable contrast with his stable earnings of ,230 in 1913. His business acumen in buying the Castleton crop of 1912 has been amply vindicated. His two-year-olds have more than won the entire cost of that transaction and there is the additional promise for the future, that he will have an almost unexampled band of crack three-year-olds in reserve for the racing of 1915. Although H. P. AAhiti;y is only third in the list, his stable earnings are more than the sum that made him the leader of last year. Up to and including the racing of November 11 the stable accounts of our thirty leading owners stood as follows: AAon in Leading AAiuner AAon in Leading Winner 1913.
