CANADIAN RACING OFFICLAL DIES Toronto Ont April 26 Lyndhurst Ogden sec ¬ retary of the Ontario Jockey Club at Its forma ¬ tion and for seventeen years thereafter died this morning aged sixtyeight He was a son of a former attorney general of Queljcc who afterwards went to the Isle of Man where the late secretary was born He stMnt some years In Chili and Peru making the voyage in a 500 ton barque which was 108 days on tlie way Mr Ogden was a famous cricketer and footballer and one of the seven men who drew up the original rules of the game of soccer which stands In public favor in Great Britain much as baseball does in America He was secretnrv of the Toronto stock exchange from 1881 till last year when lie resigned on account of illness and has lieen for years auditor of many of the chief financial Institutions of this city cityThe The good horse Tippecanoe champion of the Dynient stable of Bnrrie lias been thrown out of training and will be nut into the stud at once A recurrence of the leg trouble which necessitated his retirement prematurely last season Is responsi ¬ ble and no effort will be made to train him this year
