NORTH AMERICAS LONGEST ESTABLISHED STAKE RACE The time is at hand for the fiftysixth running of the Kings Plate at the Woodbine Park home of the Ontario Jockey Club This is the oldest stake that has been run continuously on the North American continent and this year it will figure as Canadas most valuable nice as well as one that Canadian owners are most desirous of winning Last year it was surpassed in value by the 20000 International Derby but the latter event will not be run this season and the Kings Plate will again take first place It is estimated that it will have a value of 0000 of 5 payable at time of entry 5 additional unless declared out by May 1 and 25 additional for starters For threeyearolds and upward the property of a liritish subject resident in Ontario foaled raised and trained in Ontario that have never i won a race either on the Hat or across country other than a race exclusively for twoyearolds have never left Canada and have never been for a period of more
