Winn id the Laurel track is highly elated over the number l and quality of tin- nominations made for the seventeen stakes to be run during the October meeting . of the Maryland State Fair. Practically all of the big stables which have been racing on the New-York tracks and in Canada are represented, and it is evident that Maryland patrons of racing are in for a veritable least of high-class sport during the l ! twenty-six days of the meeting at the local track. The entries received for the seventeen stakes total l X77. which is an average of over fifty to a stake. The number of stables represented is 105, and 1 I virtually all of the high-class horses of the year are I numbered among the horses which have been named, as may be discovered by a perusal of the following list of the nominators and the horses which they have nominated: Dr. J.
