September 4. -The single two rear-Old stake race on the program of the fall Meet ing of the Douglas Park Jockey Club is the Beech tnont Stakes, with ,900 added, at five and a half fur longs, which has been an annual fixture at this course since the fall meeting of IMS. The Beechinont Stakes, iu its inaugural year, was won by the high class filly GoweU, which, as a three year-old. defeated Great Britain in the 1-a-tonia Derby and ran third iu the Kentucky Derby to Doneraii and Ten Point. Iu IM3 the good tillv Bdltfa W. captured the race and last year Liberator proved the winner.
