The meeting at this beautiful race course continues i * eight racing days, coming lo a close on Tuesday, September 28. Indications now are that on Hie date of the opening of the coming meeting at this track, then- will be between seven and eight hundred horse- in this vicinity to race for tin- stakes and purses to be hung up. Hie tir-t full meeting of the present series at this tract was held in 1912, after it had been closed down for racing for a period ..f four years. Since it- opening this last time, under the able management of John Hacnmeister, Douglas Part has rapidly grown in public favor and today enjoy, populartt.i i f the tirst rating amen:. the most Important ract irses now in existence in America and Canada.
