The Schorr establishment made it a double for the afternoon when Mek Williams scored in tie-succeeding race in sensational fashion utter appearing hopelessly out of any chance. He was away with his customary slowness and ran far back until rounding into the stretch, where he came with a cyclonic rush and overtook the vastly improved Harry Gardner. Close finishes marked the running of most of the races. The opener went to Lu|y Mildred by a nose over Trout Fly.
