Herbert, who is credited with having made almost 5,000 while riding on the French " E turf, has quit the saddle for this season after an " unsuccessful experience in Kentucky. I. A. The disqualification of Mars Cassi.ly at Latonia Saturday caused much confusion. Holders of tickets ;i on Vogue had torn them up, for it is quite unusual 1 to ;oe a horse which finishes third disqualified. Mars _ Cassidys number had lteen displayed for some time S before it was changed and that of Vogue substituted. Persons who held tickets on Vogue to show v threw them away and others found them. Star Hawk is by y Sunstar — Sweet Finch, and winner of the Little-port t- Plate and Ditch Stakes at Newmarket. Hesperus is by Sunstar — Our Lassie, and up to latest l f" advices had not started. Our Lassie is an Oaks winner and Sunstar a Derby winner.
