NO OUTSTANDING FEATURE NEW ORLEANS CARD MADE UP ENTIRELY OF SELLING RACES. Cochran Two-Year-Olds Continue to Win — Jockey Lilley Rides the First Two Winners, hut Draws a Suspension. KMT MetM, I.a.. January C. — The racing at the Fair Grounds this afternoon was of a routine sort. There was no outstanding feature, all the races, even that for the two-year-olds, being under selling couditous. Favorites again fared well. liifford A. Cochrans youngsters continued their winning ways in the opening scramble, when Wistful, a daughter of the Crescent City Derhy winner Witful. graduated from the maiden class with Hindoo Belle and Cashup following. Jockey W. Lilley. who had the mount on Wistful. followed up his initial success with a lucky victory on Toddling. Sir L. Joe. which lauded in second place, should have reversed the outcome, but his rider got him practically left at the post, which earned for him a ten days suspension bv starter Dado. Secretary McLennan distributed next weeks pro gram book* among the horsemen during the dav. The offerings continue of a diversified character, with plenty of long distance races as features. G. A. Alexandra will ship his horses to Havana Saturday. There will probably be about thirty -rive horses go from here to the Cuban track. There continues considerable sickness among the horses, but not of a grave nature. John Lowe lias a dozen members of nis establishment on the ailing list. George w. Wingfields big band is al-o out of commission tor the present, all the Members with a few exceptions having contracted coughs. The pleasant r.-eather now prevailing will assist materially in rounding the horses into condition. Todays attendance was again of generous proper. in ns and the individual wagering was extensive in volume. Starter Dade added to the list of suspended jockeys by giving W. Lilley tea days and J.
