January 2S. — Track conditions were still l a l at tlio Fair Grounds today, although materially better than on the two previous days. The card was given over to the selling platers. with the exeepttoa of the initial dash, which brought together a hand of two year olds. The weather was sultry and the attendance remark ably large and enthusiastic. There were no nut standing incidents, the racing being of a per functory and routine order. favorites and second choices figured largely in the results of all the races. Peter Sheridans Savilla. on which T. McTag gart had the mount, made good in the two-year-uM dash like a go M one. for she was forced wide on the stretch turn and had to stand a hard drive l.i over-ome Conowingos lead in the last eighth. Trainer Jim Baker added another purse to his list, when Sauterelle accounted for the race in which all aged maidens started. Talebearer was decidedly best in the third race and Green B. Morris landed his second purse of the meeting when his gift filly Rose Juliette scored for biin in the fourth. Judge Murphy restored K. Burns fee good standing this afternoon, as he deems Helen M. too bad a tacer to warrant Hie continued suspension of the boy. He gave Burns to understand, though that he must ride out all his mounts in future. Jockey Met! was suspended for six days by the judges for rough riding while astride l.yndora in the lifth race. Jockey Gourlcy was suspended for six days by the starter fur disobedience ;it the post. The stake blanks for the fixtures to he run at Lexington in the coming spring meeting were distributed among the owners this morning. R. L. Baker and J. B.
