CATTLEMEN HELPING AT JUAREZ. Kl Iaso. Texas. January 88. — The r:ieing at Juarez today attracted another big crowd of visitors from the ranks of the cattlemen, who are here in convention. The cattlemen are certainly enthosi-antic oer racing and their p rescue here this week has infused new lite into the sport. The card today was nothing to boast over, its sole redeeming festers lieing a selling handicap at a mile, which brought a fail held of platers to the post. The race finally resolved itself into a struggle between Star of l.ovo and Hard Ball and the former scored by a neck. The remainder of the field was beaten off. Little String, the favorite "f the race, woend up an inglorious last. Blarney made the pace and quit badly in the stretch. W.nh licLemore sold Brooks at a private price this morning to J. Shilling. The colt ran in his new owners interest in the fourth race this after noon. W. G. Vanke has departed for California. A high, bat warm wind, blew throughout the afternoon, which accounted for the slow time recorded in the lacing.
