GENESE0 TO HAVE STEEPLECHASING. leiieseo. N. Y.. February 1. The first steps have beea taken in arranging for the May horse show, which is to be told iii this part of the Geaeaae valley. The exact dale of the show has not vet been lied, but the pboe baa; it will be the Livingston County fair grounds about sown miles north of thin Village, between here and the village of Avon adjoining. During the last few years many Geeeceo and Avon bona ■men have gone in for the breeding of a higher grade of horses and nt the sann? rime sfoies of the best Kentucky horsps have been imported into the valley, until nnw there are at least a hundred horses in this locality suitable for the most exclusive shows. This years event is to include hunting and Raddle boraea, in the production of which this fox-hunting territory excels, and there will be in connection with tie s||o«s a set ies of steeplechase and hurdle races. Entries will be open to the world. Plans for the affair will not be completed uuiil the return from Em-ope of Captain Shiverick of the Oenessee valleys cavalry company. Troop M. A class for military horses is also planned, and it is expected" that there will be entries from the troops in Syracuse. Buffalo Bad Rochester.
