TIJUANA RE-OPENING LIKELY TO BE SOON. Sau Diego. Cal.. February 22.— Afer spending a abort time here in consultation with contractors ; and engineers. James v. Coffroth. president of the Lower California Jockey Club, said: •T have not visited the track recently, but from reports I know the repairs will not be as extensive , as manv contemplate. The grandstand is solid and I will not need any repairs. Of course there is much 1 arret kae around it. hut the big stand is safe and -ul.-tantial. The clearing of the wreckage will make if as g -oil a- new. "It will not require much work to put the track in thape Plenty of teams, men and equipment will make quick work of the repairs, while the greatest amount of work will be the building of a bulkhead in the river. This will be started as i -oon as possihle and rushed along. "There are 150 hor-es at the track now. At I Coronado then- are aliout twenty. There are thirty or iiii re in Shu Diego and about fifty at Ascot and Agricultural Park in I.os Angeles. All of these horses will be at the track for the opening. "Let me add that I hope to open March 25 or April I. Neither date is definite now, hut the actual one will be announced in a few days and it may be one of the two mentioned."
