CEBRIAN BUYS ANOTHER BIG BAND. San Francisco. C al.. February 2!. — F.dward Cob-rian. the local horseman, who recently purchased the stallion on Tr nip and a band of broodmares, has made another extensive addition to his collection. He has secured the beautiful stallion Tim Payne and thirty -one broodmares from Lawrence and Oomstock. This gives Oehriaa one of the most extensive thoroughbred breeding establishments now in California. Cehrian ha- leased the famous old San Jose track and will carry on his thoroughbred breeding opera-lions there. Al Farrell, former trainer of Bubbling Water, floodlight and the like, at Emeryville, is looking after Cebrians stock. Some of the mares included in the -ale are Zulu H., .Saleska, Sain Shot. F.lla Atkins. Sister M idled. Dally. Chico. Gotliobon and Alondron. They are all well bred, and will be mated with Van Tromp and Tim Payne. The latest recruit to racing promises to cut quite a swath on tile American turf. At present he has nothing but yoaag stock, and it will probably be another year or so before his colors are represented extensively. Cehrian has a couple of young horses at Tijuana at present. lie is an enthusast on the thoroughbred, and it is good to see new blood break into the snort. Writh the coining of Cebrian. Lawrence and Corn-stock, owner of the Oakwood Stock Farm, are pass-lag out. They intend to disjiose of the remaining thirty -one yearlings anil two two -year-olds that are on their farm, so that they can embark into the cat tie-breed in:; In: si lies-.
