STIFF WIND IMPEDES JUAREZ HORSES. El Faso. Texas. March I.— The high wind that has been making things uncomfortable at Juarez for several days continued to Mow this afternoon and naturally the patronage suffered. The card represented something of an improvement over these offered of late and produced interesting contests, hi spite of the adverse renditions umier which the racing was conducted. Fast time was out of the question. The principal offering of H,e ,|av. a Bcvea eighths handicap, enabled Gordon Russell, carrying the colors of Ferguson ami Plant, the Canadian northwest turfmen, to win their tirst purse of the meet ing. He assumed command after the others had raced themselves into exhaustion and at the end had a two lengths lead over John Graham, the favorite. Jockey Feein-y was suspended for five days by tin- stewards tor roagh riding in the sixth race yesterday. Ihe strings ot km Stience. J. Fnionsetter and F. J. Miles left today lor Churchill Downs.
