Last year thirty three horses started in the colors of Jefferson Livingston, of which fifteen were 1m-ported from England. His best results were achieved by two of these. Royal li. and Colonel Venule. Loyal II. won the l.atonia Derby for him and that was the principal success accruing to his stable. It is quite probable that some of his Importations were not acclimatized last year and may show well in the racing of 191C The Polymelns colt. Polrosaa, ami Cicero colt, Eleuro, were expected to do better than they did in 1915 and the benefit of a winter in retirement may work much in the way of improvement In racing form. In winning six races and winding up his campaign in tine form Colonel Vennie proved himself ii good colt and has already been talked about in connection with the Kentucky Derby of 1010.
