COSTtMER raced in closest pursuit of the pacemaker for the first three-quarters, then easily passed PIQCETTE in the homestretch, but had to be ridden out to withstand ALDONUS. The latter, from a slow beginning, gained st-adily and finished with a rush. PIQCETTE set a good pace, but quit in the last eighth. JlLIET raced wide while rounding the far turn and when entering the homestretch. QCEEN OF PARADISE raced fairly well and finished gamely.
