RATINA. close up from the start, disposed of MALABAR in the first half and won in a canter. MARTRE raced forwardly all the way and held on well at the end. LUCILLE B. finished fast and gamely. BROWN VELYET closed I gap and was gaining at the end. SCALLYWAG and CHARMEUSE were beaten off. MALABAR quit after setting a fast pace to the stretch. The winner was entered for 00: no bid. GROVER HUGHES showed high speed in pacemaking. but tired near the end. MONSIEUR PERCI ran a good race for him. TOKAY was soundly beaten all the way.
