BLIND BAGGAGE BEATEN SUCCUMBS BY INCHES TO OLD KOEKIG IN THE AGILE HANDICAP. Carrie Orme Wins for Her New Owner — Miss Jazbo Again a Winner — Crowding at the Start Affects Results. Louisville, Ky., May 20.— F. .1. Nolans Old Koenig and K. It. Bradleys ltlind Baggage furnished a thrilling struggle in tin- Agile Handicap of »0 at three-quarters, which featured a somewhat ordinary offering this afternoon at Chun-hill Downs. The eastern eolt was ridden in superb fashion by jockey Goose and this was a leading factor in his victory, l.oth colts were away forwarder and at once drew out from tin- otliers. After going the first HUtH Old Koenig managed to get his head in advance and thereafter until the finish there was liarely a change of inches in their relative positions. l oth striving to their nt-niost. wth the jockeys working like demons, Bo-liind the pair rami John Jr.. a slight distance in advance of lluffaker. The race marked the first appearance of T. C. Bradley*! good colt Big Smoke. He showed a fine flash of si»ce_d and tired in the stretch as if short. It was intensely warm this afternoon and the eard of seven races brought out some of the poorer horses, but the attendance was again of generous MMttaM and speculation brisk. Kay Spcnee, who purchased Carrie Orme this morning, won out the purchase juice of tile filly win u she accounted for the opener after a hard struggle to outstay Sauterelle. The race was marked by considerable crowding, which Carrie Orme escaped. The second race also brought about a jam, which caused the defeat of Mikifula. The latter was lio.itcn by Sugan King, which under Gooses rousing ride, enjoyed a clear course for the entire way and liarely got home first. Mivs .lazbo, which was badly beaten in a preceding start, had matters much her own way in the third race and led Juvenile to the finish. John I/iwcs Florence ltolx rts made good in the fifth race, but to do so she had to be favored by racing luck. She began fast and had a clear course before most of the otliers could extricate themselves from the jam caused when Blackthorn stumbled at the start. Cash on Delivery, running to his good form, gave a hard struggle at the end. W. M. Wallace has taken over Incle Will, Mary Kstelle and Big Fellow, formerly trained by Grover Hughes. The latter is not feeling well and has returned to his home in Islington. Former jockey J. Henry disposed of Kleburne for ,000 to U. J. Powers this morning. It. W.
