STABLES SHIFT TO DEVONSHIRE PARK. AAindsor, Out., October 24. Following the close of last weeks meeting at Kenilwortli Park the horsemen have shipped over to Devonshire Park for the meeting which opens next Saturday. The plant at Devonshire Park has been fully completed, with the exception of the sodding of the lawn, which will hardly be done until the spring. The stand has been finished, while the offices and jockeys room have been changed about, for the greater convenience of owners who wish to make entries. The card each afternoon should bring together the best class of horses seen on the independent circuit this season. Word has been received by racing secretary Martin Nathanson that several owners will ship from Laurel to Windsor to race out the meeting at Devonshire Park. The track is in perfect condition and with fine weather will be fast for the opening. The mutuel plant will be added to so far as the machines are concerned, which will afford greater comfort and accommodation for natrons of the sport. The majority of the officials have already arrived in AAindsor for the meeting, while others will arrive Thursday night. The card for the opening afternoon includes three races over considerable distances of ground, two of which are handicaps. The club at this meeting is catering to owners who like to race over the longer routes. The handicaps are all of good value and should bring out good entries.
