MORE MUDDY TRACK RACING WINTRY WEATHER AND SLOW GOING AT J30WIE DOES NOT DISMAY SPECTATORS. Hauberk an Easy Victor in the Chief Contest of the Day Ina Kay Defeats Golden List Vermont Scores for His New Owner. I Baltimore, Mil., November 15. Despite -wintry "weather conditions, :i large crowd turneil out at Bowie this afternoon. Speculation was keener than on the opening day and several of the winners jwld handsome dividends. The track was again how, with little prospect for much improvement ior a day or two. A Selling Handicap at one mile was provided as a feature and resulted iu an easy victory for Hauberk, which came from behind in the stretch mill drew away into a six length lead in the final wsJtth. The largest field that went to the post during the afternoon faced the barrier in the second race, the starters numbering fifteen. The winner turned up in Ina Kay, which led all the way and won easily from Golden List. Vermont scored another victory for his new owner, K. K. Bryson, when he won the fifth race in easy fashion. Schuttingcr saved him well back until straightened out in the homestretch, whore he raced into an easy lead and at the finish was going away. .T. 1. Misick had announced that lie would winter his stable at Laurel. Mr. Misick recently purchased a small farm there. There will be quite a winter colony at that point. Besides owner Misick there will be jockeys A. Schuttinger. E. Ambrose mill AV. Allen and trainer Henry McDaniel with the AV. S. Kilmer horses. A story was circulated during the Laurel meeting, to the effect that Republican had gone lame and was about to be fired and turned out for the winter. The horse has been showing some good trials at ISenning, recently, and is one of those named to start in the fifth race tomorrow. Norman Kennedy, who has signed to ride for F. Ambrose Clark next year, will leave tomorrow for Warrenton, Va., where he will ride on Saturday in the open steeplechases. Frank Herald has received several additions to the stable he will campaign in Cuba. He will take two former E. F. Whitney racers. Leading Lady and Rnllygunge, and Runway, formerly owned by W. L. Crosby of Boston. .1. AV. langle is looking after the interests of jockey AV. Collins, the lad he secured from Capt. AV. F. Iresgrave for the winter season. Collins had several mounts this afternoon. James Arthur has decided to winter Water Lady and lloudage at Bowie. Smith and Farrar may also winter at this track. Two carloads of horses will leave for Tijuana tomorrow. They include the stables of C. Buxton, O. K. Moore and Kdward G. Soule. F. E. Kraft will also ship his stable to California at the conclusion of the Bowie meeting. Two claims Avero put in for Blue Cap after she was beaten in the second race, by F. W. Coleman and II. 5. Bedwcll, and, in the drawing, the former secured the filly. E. Herz retaliated by claiming Golden List. The claiming price on eacli was 50. On complaint of the patrol judge who reported that jockey L. Lykes cut across in front of the others with Greentree at the start in the first race, the stewards suspended that rider for four days. Emil Herz has decided to dispose of a number of his horses by auction in the paddock at liowie next week.
