JOHN GRAHAM began slowly, but made up ground steadily and, in a fast finish, almost got up to win. ASK HER was in a pocket to the stretch and came witli a rush, after gaining a clear course. STAR OF LOVE was away in a tangle and was running fast at the end. MISS FANNIE set the pace to the last eighth and tired as if short. STAR SHOOTER sulked. The lutter ran well and moved up menacingly when an eighth out. but tired finally under punishment. ZANGARBE made up ground and outstayed DUKE OF SHELBY for third place. The latter and GIFT raced well to the stretch. CARO NOME set the early pace, but quit abruptly and ran a bad race. The winner was entered for 00; no bid.
