TIJUANA STAKE RACES WELL FILLED. San Diego, Cal., November 20. The six stakes offered by the Lower California Jockey Club received a total of 3S2 entries. The big race of the Tijuana meeting, the Coffroth Handicap, at a mile and a quarter, has forty-three nominations, among which are Sangallo, Colonel Vennie, Star of Love, Star Shooter, Slippery Elm, John Graham. Pullux, Sasin, ; Old Broom and other good horses. The two selling i stake races were given the largest measure .of patronage, the Tijuana Selling Stakes having sev-; enty-two entries, and the Coronation Selling Stakes ; eighty-two. Jefferson Livingston has Colonel Ven-, nie, Ed Howard, Julia L., Syrian and Mandy Hamilton named to represent him in the various events. ; Guide Post won the Ocean Beach Handicap here . today from a select field of niilers. The race was marred by a straggling start, which gave Star of Ixjvc and John Graham little chance if winning. : Guide Post, away without any noticeable interfer-i ence, stood a drive gamely to beat John Graham. It was a slow race considering that 00 top and bottom horses have been doing even better than its i 1:40. - : Hollin Laird finally rewarded Walter Dupee. the i Coronado millionaire,, when he beat Maud Bacon in the opener. The horse wore blinkers for the first : time and Showed much improvement. The third race was marred by the throwing of two riders. Ida Pjnack, one of the choices, threw Moore just as the little fellow began to make his move. Frog Eye threw Johnson at the start.
