THORNCLIFFE LEASED TO J. S. BERGER. New York, December 7. According to reports here, J. S. Berger of Chicago has just closed negotiations for the leasing of Thorncllffe, near Toronto, Canada. Mr. Berger has been associated with some extensive enterprises, notably the Omaha Exposition. It is his intention, with the assistance of his associates, who are closely concerned with . one of the Maryland race courses, to erect a track at ThornclilTe, the equal of any in Canada. It is proposed to have it ready by the summer of 1917. The mutuel part of the concern will probably be equipped by Arthur Elrod. - ,
