HALLENBECK BUYS ENGLISH YEARLINGS. New York, December 7. II. C. Hallenbeck completed an important yearling purchase Tuesday, when he gave 4,000 for the eight imported yearlings brought over by Duncan Grant, of the Rugby Stud. These horses were landed in New York from the Manchuria, of the Atlantic Transport Line, and since that time they have been at Van Tassel and Kearneys stable. Mr. Duncan was holding them at a big price all season, and if fashionable breeding means anything, Mr. Hallenbeck has a real bargain. The lot comprises: Bny colt by Heliotrope Cross Duchess, by Duke of Westminster. Bay colt by Pericles son of Persimmon Purple Light, by Heliotrope. Bay colt by Land League Mill Bay, by Red Heart. Bay colt by Heliotrope Applecross, by Lychno-scope. Chestnut filly by Pericles Stray Moment, by St. Ililaire. Chestnut colt by Marco Aloquin, by St. Frus-quin. Bay colt by Heliotrope Huttons System, by All Moonshine. Bay filly by Heliotrope Seisdon Princess, by Veracity.
