LANTANA fallowed the pacemaker closely to the stretch turn, then slipped through next to the rail and easily raced into a long le: d in the last eighth. POLONIUM raced well mid outgamed PALISADE for second place in the final drive. The latter set a gnat pace and tired, but linished gamely. JIM HlTtH showed earlv speed, but quit. CURLS ran poorly.
