REDLAND SCORES AT TIJUANA. Wins La Mont Handicap After Getting Away to Flying Start — Spence Applies for Stable Room. Tijuana. Mex.. January 29. — Redland won the La Mont Handicap here today. Joe-key Mc-Bride stole an early lead with the horse and he had enough left to stand a mild drive at the finish. Guide Post met with some bad luck when Pickens tried to force her through an opening on the rail only to get knocked out of it temporarily. She came in the stretch, but failed to get up. Dolina was third. The- J.ush tribe put over a good one in Positano, tin- Solitaire II. filly was backed heavily in every book in the ring and she won handily after My First tired in the stretch. Flossie F. ran well today and won the third race. Eastertide was away flying in the baby race- and won drawing away. Pauline Crowley was second, while Sabelda was third. A number of applications have been made for stalls by horsemen at Juarez. Kay Spence is among those asking for stable room.
