NOTES OF THE TURF FROM OTHER LANDS. II. Jelliss. the flat race- jockey, is in the Royal Flying Corps. Well-known jockeys present at Wfaadaat recently we-re C. Trigg and S. AVnlkington. The last named is now a sergeant in the Army e terinary Corps. P. Hartigan. the trainer, has now received his commission in the 9th Lancers 7th Cavalry He-se-rvcl. lb- has reported himself for his new dutie-s. I.ieut. I. Roberts, who re. eh- Murray Bridge- in the Hatchet Hurdle- at the- Windsor nic-i-ting. is attached to the- Scots Greys. He was on leave for a few- days. Major We rnhe-r. who sustained a broken leg whiNt riding Dorelogno in a steeplechase at Windsor in December, is now in London, and is progressing Basel satisfactorily. Major Morrison Bell of the Rifle- Brigade-, had the satisfaction of having his eaten carried to victory when Bally kistee-n won the- Island Selling Handicap Steeplechase at Windsor. W. TOmm useful handicap mare. We-t Kiss, has run her last race, and she- has retired to the stud. The daughter of Treelcnnis will next season be seated with the Orby horse, Diadumenos.
