HEAVY TRACK AT HAVANA. Favorites Run Well Despite Change of Track Conditions — Bed well Scores a Double. Havana. Cuba. February 9. — Malabar was returned winner of the selling handicap, the feature of todays racing at Oriental Iark. Alhena was made favorite, with .Terry second in demand. Malabar outran the others from the start and was under restraint through the last sixteenth. Heavy rains of last night changed the track conditions, but a good attendance was on band and enjoyed seme excellent racing. Form backers fared well today, Boyal Meteor opening the days proceedings with an easy victory after going to the outside on the stretch turn. Another favorite scored in the third race, w hi ti II. O. Bedwells Unity got a close decision over Frosty Face and Molly i . Bedwell again furnished the favorite and the winner in the fourth, when Borax, at odds -en, raced into a long lead and ami only cantering at the end. The second race went to Kopje and Welga captured the sixth, both winning by big margins. Cong re .-man •. W. I.oft of New York is a recent arrival from New Orleans.
