TO BEGIN WORK ON JAMAICA STANDS. W. S. Heather Sends Six Entries to 1919 Coaching Club Oaks — Other New York Notes. New York. Feb. 14. — Work will lie commenced renovating the grandstand at the Jamaica track as soon as the weather |iennits. The old structure will be extended to the clubhouse, and thirty new boxes will bo arranged. The contract calls for the completion of the work iu time for Jamaicas first meeting in May. A. .Mil. Barloeker has just received six nominations for the Coaching Club Oaks, to be run at Belmont Park in 1919. from W. 8. Heather of Rugby. Bag. David GhteOU visited the Jockey Tub today from his winter home in Far Roeknway. He re ports that Mrs. Gideon has entirely recover -d from a recent operation. Other visitors at racing headquarters were Arthur B. Hancock. James Corrigan. part owner of the Wiekliffe Stable, and Matt Wiuu.
