Equally satisfactory are the returns for the Bibury Club meeting Salisbury with thirty -nine subscribers to the Hurstbourno Stakes; Doncaster with sixty-seven for the Rous Plate and forty-seven for the Scarborough Stakes: Gatwiek with seventy-one for the Home-bred Two year-old Plate, and York August with 110 for the Gimcrack Stakes, which allies with it a aeta to the effect that in the event of it being found impossible to hold the meeting application will be made to the stewards of the Jockey Club to sanction a race to which the York committee will fire 300 sovereigns to be confined to horse- originally entered for the Gimcrack Stakes, and to be under similar conditions. — Loudon Sportsman. ____
